Flexi Inlay

2012-04 to 2012-12

As part of my master thesis project during 2012 I was tasked with creating a new product for Mälarplast AB. The product should enable the user to divide a plastic drawer, sold by Mälarplast and used in airline and railway catering, into pockets. The solution should be light weight, easy to use and capable of creating many different sizes and number of pockets. In developing of the concepts it was also important to consider the manufacturing method, injection molding, used by Mälarplast in order to produce a product that was cheap to manufacture.
